Another slow, pointless day. Cleaned my room, moved the dresser in, folded clothes and did about a kajillion loads of laundry.
I was walking from one house to the other earlier this week when it struck me how much I miss making that trek. It gave me time to myself, time to think and to appreciate the little things. I once read in a magazine that something like 90% of people look down at their feet while they walk, and that people who look up tend to be more confident, outgoing, optimistic - not to mention see twice as much as those who don't.
It was one of those little things that you don't expect to be lifechanging. But I haven't looked down since.
There was a point in time where I would lie in the grass for hours and watch the clouds. I'm ready to go back to that place.
